AN ENGLISHMAN IN ARKANSAS

Rid'n a horse in ArkansasThis is going to be a 'fun' information page where I will post current and new information on progress and research on modalities, products and tools relevant to holistic health and also highlight Local People, Businesses, Places, and Services.

I am in the process of setting up a blog so you can ask questions or share information with everyone....

here is a little 'gem' i found to help you get every day off to a brighter start..

Life is too short for drama and petty things..

So, Kiss slowly

Laugh insanely

Love Truly, and above all

Forgive quickly... have a wonderful day

I, of course, accept no liablility or responsibility for the level of service you recieve or the accuracy and truth of the details or information given. So please take it in the Spirit intended and if you wish to investigate or visit any of the following people or places make your own enquiries and form your own opinions.

What do you think of this?

Here is something I found, very thought provoking and relevant to where we are in todays society!! Courtesy of George Calin.

A Paradox of Our Time
The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers; wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less; we buy more but enjoy it less.

We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time; we have more degrees, but less sense; more knowledge, but less judgement; more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life, we've added years to life not life to years.

We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor.

We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things. We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion; big men and small character; steep profits and shallow relationships.

These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses but broken homes.

These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throw-away morality, one-night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer to quiet, to kill.

It is a time when there is much in the show window and nothing in the stockroom.

A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete.

Remember, spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say "I Love You" to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it.

A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you. Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for some day that person will not be there again.

Give more time to Love, give time to speak, give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

To all my friends & family in my life, thanks for being there.

I wanted to make sure that I gave the following place a very BIG thumbs up, I have eaten here on several occasions and have been pleasantly surprised at the large and mouth watering selection of very high quality food served here in a very pleasant 'Cafe' atmosphere, just make sure that you arrive early or phone ahead for your order.

Oh, by the way, I was introduced to a local web site where you can get rid of your unwanted items simply by posting them on the site and of course you can pick up some useful things as well.

Its all free and some of the stuff goes to local charities and to help the deprived in the local area, so have a look and see if you want to help support this.

What they say
Do you have stuff you don't need anymore, but still works or that someone else might just want? Hate to throw it away? Then DON'T! Offer it free here. Why help create another landfill when that item can be used to enrich someone else's life? One person's trash is another person's treasure!

We connect people with things they want to offer with others who would like to have those things. Through this simple e-mail list, any member of the community can post a note about an item they'd like to give away, or an item they are seeking. We are here to help each other AND keep items out of the landfill!
This mailing list is for offering things for FREE.

No trading, no bartering, no selling. All pickups and deliveries are to be arranged between the parties involved.

Hot Springs Freecycle (TM) is based on a project that started in Tucson, Arizona.

Thought for today:
Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.
